About this ritual

Named for its traditional blackened timber construction, Juodoji Pirtelė sits at the end of an unmarked track in the Pavilniai forests. A wood-fired sauna without compromise — 95–100°C, no time limit, no bookings after sunset on weekdays. The cold plunge is a natural stream fed from the hillside. One of the few saunas in Lithuania where you arrive to a locked gate and a code, not a reception.
